Description of Biên Tập Viên

Job Purpose:
Produces written materials by creating content concepts and copy; approving content and style.

Duties:
* Establishes creative content concepts by studying business strategies and objectives; coordinating requirements with clients and other creative team members.
* Accomplishes writing project results by defining project purpose and scope for written materials; calculating resources required; establishing standards and protocols; scheduling and allocating resources; evaluating milestone assumptions and conclusions; evaluating optional courses of action; changing assumptions and direction; completing audits.
* Develops content by establishing message requirements; researching topics; preparing copy; contracting with and supervising freelancers.
* Approves content by proofreading copy and layouts; checking facts; correcting grammar, punctuation, and spelling using proofreader's marks;.
* Maintains writing style by adhering to organization manual standards as well as Chicago Manual of Style (CMS) and Associated Press (AP) guides; upgrading manual.
* Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging editing practices and standards; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
* Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
