Description of Giáo Viên Tiếng Anh
Job Purpose:
Teaches students to use and appreciate the english language by developing course outlines and content; communicating content; coaching and guiding students; maintaining records; involving parents.
Duties:
* Contributes to English curriculum by providing information and commentary pertinent to course content considerations.
* Establishes English course outlines and objectives by following curriculum guidelines, and state and school system goals.
* Communicates course content to students by presenting lectures, questions, propositions, readings, demonstrations, and examples; conducting field trips; developing teaching aids, such as, audiovisual and computer-based; scheduling and assigning instructional activities; modifying plans based on individual student diagnostic measures and assessments.
* Maintains order in the classroom by establishing rules and procedures for student participation and movement; adhering to rules for a clean, safe, and healthy environment.
* Assesses student learning by preparing, administering, and scoring tests; reviewing and correcting written assignments; evaluating application of learning to classroom discussion and projects.
* Improves student learning by providing instructional feedback; coaching, counseling and disciplining students; planning, monitoring, and appraising learning results.
* Maintains student records by documenting learning accomplishments, attendance, and behavior.
* Involves parents in students' development by providing information and comments regarding academic and social progress; suggesting available educational and social improvement resources; addressing parent concerns; answering questions and requests.
* Complies with state and local legal requirements by studying regulations and guidelines; advising school administration on needed actions.
* Maintains professional knowledge of English language and teaching by maintaining techning certificate; attending workshops and seminars; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
* Enhances English department and school reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
